This total home renovation is located in Chastain Park, Atlanta. The ranch style home had great bones but was in desperate need of updates and reconfiguring. The project encompassed restructuring of about 70% of the main floor as well as finishing the entire basement area with a second kitchen, family area, exercise room, wine cellar, bedroom and bathroom as well as storage area. Kala Designs, LLC handled all finish specifications, cabinetry layout, plumbing and lighting fixture selections, and integrating new furniture selections with existing pieces. The completed home provides the homeowners with the space, function, and aesthetic they so desired for entertaining and everyday life.

A segmented floor plan which resulted in choppy and dark spaces was the original setting for this project. This major renovation included the redesign of the kitchen in order to incorporate the living area and the sun porch. The final result was a dramatic improvement, allowing for a better visual field and traffic paths, as well as providing two islands for entertaining. In addition, the powder room, laundry area, sun porch, living area, upstairs bath, and master bathroom were completely redesigned. Kala Designs, LLC specified and determined all cabinetry details, finishes, and layout. This condominium provides great views of Peachtree Road, however with its limited square footage, using every inch in a creative and efficient fashion was a must. Dining space was at a minimum for these clients who elected to augment the kitchen cabinetry/countertops with a modern casual design, thereby getting the most out of their space. Renovations also included two bathrooms, an office space with built-ins, and the living area.
